“The condition of the Church of Christ today” has been the trending topic in my head for the last 2 to 3 weeks. I’ve been trying to examine and evaluate my spiritual walk with God and I couldn’t just ignore the Church as a whole. I have seek God, and still seeking Him, to reveal to me the truth about His word so that I may spare my soul and many others from the spirit of deception hovering around everywhere in these last dark days. During this walk with God, I bumped into this article by Steve Hill and according to me, I read it as if I was reading my thoughts. I tried to read it with a teachable and humble spirit so that I could get hold of what is being discussed clearly without being judgmental. Get to go through it with that same kind of mind and heart and let the Holy Spirit of God lead you into making those decisions and comments. After you read, SHARE! SHARE! SHARE!

God bless you!

I came across this verse and it mademe have so many thoughts in me about what it really means.
Isaiah 55:6, “Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near.”
My goodness! So a time will come when all the time we may have now to seek God will be no more? And so does this means that we may be having the hunger and thirst to pray, worship, praise, live for God and serve Him when that time comes but it will be too late?
This should raise an alarm to every believer and non-believer.
Sometimes we feel too lazy to pray, too hungry to fast, too tired to serve God, too selfish to give and too proud or burdened to worship God in truth and spirit. But the word of God in Romans 12:21 reminds us that the only way we can overcome evil is by doing good. All these feelings are evil, and so it’s always you to either follow your feelings or overcome them by doing the opposite. Anytime and everytime you may have, seek to spend it with God; at work, in class, when walking down the road, in thematatu, when hanging out, in bed..I mean everytime make it a habit to be Christ-conscious for a time will come when that time will be no more.
Take this seriously as though you depend on it to live, and of course it’s true we all do.
Isaiah 55:6, “Seek God while He maybe found. Call upon Him while He is near.”

What a LOVE!

What is the craziest you can ever do to show someone how you love them? Someone who doesn’t even know you, who doesn’t even care and who ignores you always? Someone who keeps rejecting you and never appreciates your presence in their lives? How far can you go to show such kind of a person that you love them?
This is the exact position God was with human beings. Beings that kept rejecting Him and kept ignoring the fact that He so loved them and always wanted the best for them. Us who live in this day and age didn’t even know Him in the first place because we didn’t even exist physically.
But God in His unconditional love He went as far as giving out His only Son Jesus to die on behalf of everyone. Above all things He chose death of His son as a show of love to us. Yet still this has never gotten into our heads after God doing all that for us.
We still live as though nothing ever happened; as though there is no God at all. We still reject and disobey Him, forgetting that He loves us more than anything else. Sometimes we ignore Him when He calls us thinking that we’re doing ourselves a favor, only to realize that He is just trying to take care of us.

All that God wants is a heart after Him. A heart that acknowledges He is God; just a heart that submits to Him even when what He says doesn’t seem to make sense. A heart that worships Him in truth and in spirit, and a heart that is not ashamed of Him. He wants us just to make Him the Lord of our lives that we do everything just as He wants it done. He wants a heart that is after His own heart, one that just loves Him more and more each day.

Choose to have that kind of heart today and your life will never be the same again. He has so much in store for you and me that is able to sustain us forever and ever. Choose God and choose life unending; choose God and see what He can do with your life.

God be with you as you make that decision today.

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Oscar Wilde

The famous quote goes, ‘you were born an original, don’t die a photocopy’ but sadly, that is exactly what normally happens to most of us. I may be right to say that being famous is one thing and being popular is another, since; most of us really agree with this statement but rarely do we execute it in our lives. The reason behind this scenario may not be a direct one, but in most cases the reason is similar: failing to realize one self, simple.

I personally believe that in each and every one of us lies something unique that differentiates us from the rest. It may be the way we love, the way we treat other people, the way we communicate, the way we perceive things or simply the way we think. Most times when we find ourselves acting different from our peers, the immediate thoughts that come to mind are, ‘Maybe I’m just out of place.’, ‘I think I’m wrong acting this way’ or ‘There is something wrong with me.’ Well, today I’ve come to challenge you to just live your life with no apologies. You don’t have to act, think or speak as they do because at the end of the day, who you are that really counts. The moment you start measuring yourself up with the standards that others have set for themselves, that is the moment you start losing your own standards and at the end lose yourself to them!

There are some people whose lives are a total sum of the choices they ever made, but all based on the comparison between them and their friends. Meaning, they have never sat down and made a personal decision without considering the views and lives of other people. To me, I consider this as the father of all the disasters that will ever occur in one’s life simply because, if you ever lose the true you to someone else, then your life will be a total replica of theirs, thus all the potential you ever had will end up rotting in you six feet under…what a disaster it would be!

“Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second                       rate version of someone else.”Judy Garland

We are living in times where the only people whose success counts at the end of the day are the ones who stand their ground even when threatened to move. These are the ones who have the say in their own lives and it’s only their approval and God’s own that matter. These kinds of people choose to talk up on themselves while others are busy talking down on them. They simply live their lives, their way and with no apologies.

Choose today to stand out from the rest by affirming your personal, well-thought of principles and don’t compromise your identity in any given scene. Don’t entertain things that contradict your standard or try to brush off your way of doing things. You were created to be you, so just be YOU!
